last 21st May, Malaysia had been surprised by the landslide in Hulu Langat. The landslide claims 16lives. Most of it are inmates and few are children who came to the center on weekends and 1 I think is a warden.
I Feel very sad with the news because the tragedy is actually a disaster waiting to happen. the condition of the slope behind the orphanage is very dangerous.but all the experts only come to tell about its danger after the tragedy happen
For me, besides the lack of enforcement(come to think of it, manala cukup officer nak monitor semua slope..tp kalau dia dtg lebey awal..16 lives will not be wasted), awareness of the public should be increased. I always read about the slopes and the characteristics of slopes that is dangerous always appear in The Star n othe rnewspaper but maybe we should put more information like this on electronic media,esp on TV. do it in animation form like iklan kebersihan n menjaga alam sekitar.
Another thing for me, although however hard for us to raise our child, we should be thankful for them, in them we find so many solace n happiness.Some of the affected parents only come to claim donantions.sedangkan semasa hayat...allahua'lam,its not right for me to judge others..
May ALLAh bless all the victims and put them in the jannah. kawan2,marilah kita sayangi anak2 kita selagi mereka masih ada..
